Sandro, born June 16, 1961 in the city of Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, is becoming a presence of greatness in the world of art. Sandro received a classical art education at the Art Academy in Tbilisi, obtaining masters’ degrees in both Art and Architecture. He has since established himself as a painter of urban and musical genre, creating his own style- a mix of impressionism and modern art.
Sandro identified an enthusiasm for painting as a child and has never given up that passion. Most of Sandro’s work may be placed into three dominant themes: scenery, flowers, and music. His scenic pieces focus on village Georgian landscape as well as European urban scenery, stemming from his life experiences living in Georgia, Austria, Russia, Israel, and Turkey. Sandro’s musical influence was founded upon his inspiring visit to Sebastian Bach’s grave in Leipzig, Germany in the eighth grade. Many years later, Sandro attended the British Symphony and Orchestra, featuring London a Capella, in Salzburg, Austria where his motivation to capture music with his paint was reaffirmed. The London a Capella Conductor now owns one of Sandro’s musical paintings. Sandro listens to classical music like Pavarotti, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Bocelli, etc., as inspiration for his paintings. His qualities as a painter have allowed him to paint the most ordinary objects and scenes through a sensitive, generous and elaborate palette, irresistibly fascinating.

Most of Sandro’s work is captured by oil on canvas, though Sandro has experience painting with a variety of mediums. His portfolio also includes “cloisonné”, a 12th century Georgian technique of molding glass into featured art. Though typically deeply religious in nature, Sandro’s cloisonné take on a more abstract approach to skylines and urban scenery. While Sandro’s present focus is not on architecture, he, among other notable architects, was once honored to design a summer home for Mikhail Gorbachev.
Sandro currently lives in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, but visits the United States frequently, as his paintings are becoming more widely recognized. His first visit to the U.S. was in 2002. Painting out of a friend’s garage in Indianapolis, IN, his work was well received by the public, helping to establish Sandro’s favorable reputation in the U.S. He sold his entire collection in less than one month. Sandro’s work can currently be found in the private art collections of the Prime Minister of Turkey, Mikhail Gorbachev, Ted Turner, Robert Redford, and the Simon family of Simon Property Group. The Israeli Knesset, Die Villacher Raiffeisen Banks of Georgia and Austria, as well as Sheraton and Marriott Hotels in Georgia exhibit Sandro’s artwork in their lobbies, foyers, and hallways.
Similar to many celebrated artists before him, Sandro endured much hardship early in his career. Because of his destitution, much of his early work painted in Turkey and Israel was not photographed prior to being sold on the street. While his paintings from Austria were captured on a borrowed camera, it was not before his first visit to the United States that Sandro had the resources to photograph his own work. Paintings by Sandro are currently on display throughout the world- with exhibitions in Austria, Turkey, and Georgia; the value of Sandro’s collection continues to appreciate. Sandro’s talent will soon be recognized throughout the world as that of a first class artist with great sensitivity and high artistic qualities.
Today, Sandro’s paintings are owned by private collectors all over the world including many well known figures, such as:
